BrandAlley has acquired the owner of Country Attire in a pre-pack deal.
The online retailer has purchased Jolly Chic UK, which owns Country Attire and Outdoor & Country, for an undisclosed amount. This follows the recent news that Jolly Chic UK had filed for administration.
Under the terms of the pre-pack deal, the acquisition has been made through a new holding company, which will retain the trading names of the existing brands.
BrandAlley co-founder and CEO Rob Feldmann said the deal is a “fantastic opportunity” for the company to expand its customer base and product range, as well as bring the brand to an international audience.
He added that the acquisition would allow BrandAlley to “leverage the significant expertise and relationships within the outdoor and country sectors” that Jolly Chic UK had established.
BrandAlley was founded in 2008 and has since grown to become one of the UK’s leading online fashion and lifestyle retailers, offering discounted designer brands to its members. The company operates in the UK, France and Italy.
Country Attire, which was founded in 2008, is a premium outdoor and country clothing brand, offering a range of products including jackets, boots and accessories.
The acquisition will strengthen BrandAlley’s position in the outdoor and country clothing market, and will open up new opportunities for expansion and growth.
