Guess Appoints CFO
Denim brand Guess has appointed CFO Dennis Secor to the role of Interim President and COO, effective immediately.
Leverage Secor’s experience
The interim appointment leverages Secor’s extensive experience managing global operations, supply chain and technology at several leading consumer product companies. He joined Guess in 2018 as CFO and global head of accounting.
Search for permanent CEO underway
Guess is conducting a search for a permanent CEO, following the exit of Victor Herrero in October 2020 after less than two years in the role. Secor will lead the company’s day-to-day operations during the search process alongside Non-Executive Chairman and Creative Director Paul Marciano.
Secor’s track record of success
“Dennis has a proven track record of success and the ideal experience to help guide Guess during this time of transition,” said Marciano. “He is deeply familiar with our business, global operations and valued partners around the world, which will allow for a seamless continuation of our key initiatives.”
Position for future growth
The appointment of Secor on an interim basis positions Guess for continued growth as the fashion and retail industry recovers from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Guess has seen sales and profitabilty improve recently as stores reopened and online demand persisted.
Further enhance operations
In his expanded role, Secor will look to further enhance Guess’ global supply chain, logistics, technology, accounting and finance operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs and boost profit margins.
